Before you start, you will need:

  • 1 Onion
  • 3 – 4 pieces of Green Chilly
  • 1.5 spoons of Cumin Seeds
  • 1.5 spoons of Garm Masala
  • 1 spoon Aamchoor
  • 1.5 spoons of Kashmiri Chili Powder
  • 1.5 spoons of Chaat Masala
  • Rock Salt (as per preference)  
  • ¼ spoon of Mustard Seeds
  • 4 spoons of Olive Oil
  • 4 pieces of Shallot Onion
  • 2 cubes of Ginger
  • 3-4 leaves of Podina
  • ½ pcs of Big Size Tomato
  • 300 grams of Cottage Cheese
  • 10 – 15 leaves of Cilantro
  • ½ Lemon
  • Green Peas (optional)

Now for the steps:

  • Boil 30 – 50 grams of green peas
  • Make puree of tomato and keep it aside
  • Grind the pieces of shallot onion and ginger and keep that aside
  • Next take a non-stick pan, add the olive oil you have and heat it. Once the oil is heated, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds till they break
  • Now take the onion and divide each layer into two as you peel it off
  • Add the pieces of onion in the pan
  • Next add green chilies which should be cut longitudinally into two pieces 
  • Cook this for 2 – 3 minutes
  • Add all the spices and cook the mixture for another 2 minutes
  • Next add the grinded Shallot Onion and the ginger paste
  • Add salt as per your taste
  • Let it cook for 2 – 3 minutes
  • Further add cottage cheese which should be in the form of big cubes 
  • Mix this well while you keep toasting it for at least 3 – 4 minutes
  • Add that tomato puree that you kept aside and then let it cook for the next 10 minutes
  • At last, add coriander leaf, a pinch of amchoor, and squeeze half a lemon

And Voila! Your Paneer Angara is ready!
